Lake Brienz and Brienzer Rothorn Excursion

On August 2nd, we embarked on another memorable journey, traveling by train from Engelberg to Brienz, with a transfer in Luzern. Brienz, a charming village on the eastern end of Lake Brienz, served as our gateway to the Brienzer Rothorn.

From Brienz, we took the historic Brienz Rothorn Bahn, a steam cogwheel train, up to the Brienzer Rothorn. The ascent offered spectacular views of Lake Brienz and the surrounding mountains. At the summit, we enjoyed the panoramic vistas before taking the steam engine back down to Brienz.

After our mountain adventure, we continued our journey to Interlaken, a popular resort town nestled between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. We enjoyed a delicious Indian lunch in Interlaken, savoring the flavors amidst the vibrant atmosphere.

Finally, we began our return trip to Engelberg, traveling via Luzern, reflecting on a day filled with scenic train rides, breathtaking views, and delightful culinary experiences.
