On August 3rd, our journey led us to the stunning Oeschinensee. We started with a train ride from Engelberg to Luzern, and then continued our train journey to Bern. From Bern, we took another train to Kandersteg. Upon arrival in Kandersteg, we took a bus to the cable car station, which then transported us up to the area near Oeschinensee.
From the cable car stop, we opted for a motorized ride down to the lake itself. The pristine turquoise waters of Oeschinensee, framed by dramatic cliffs and lush greenery, were truly breathtaking. We enjoyed interacting with the local cows grazing peacefully, adding to the idyllic alpine experience. The views throughout were simply spectacular.
For lunch, we savoured a delicious meal at the Berghotel Oeschinensee, soaking in the panoramic surroundings. After lunch, we enjoyed a leisurely walk and hike back to the cable car stop, allowing us to appreciate the natural beauty of the area further. We then took the cable car back down and retraced our train journey via Bern and Luzern back to Engelberg, concluding another memorable day in the Swiss Alps.
